If you’re on holiday with your children in the Montauroux and Callian area of the Var, you might like to know there’s a new adventure playground in the woods behind Montauroux.
To get there from Montauroux village follow the signs to the Stade Municipale. It’s less than 5 minutes away.

In addition to the new children’s play area (actually, the brochure says it’s for kids between the ages of 2 and 99!) there are also nice walk in the same area.
You can take a gentle, flat 30 minute walk to the ‘Gros Chenes’, which is a collection of old oak trees that are unusually large for the South of France. Or for the more adventurous, you can park your car at the Stade and walk across the Siagne valley to St Cezaire. It’s a steep 90-minute walk that follows the old donkey track. You cross the River Siagne at the impressive Pont des Tuves.
