Yearning for a traditional English cream tea. Just like the ones you get in Devon and Cornwall. With a pot of tea, scones, cream and jam?
Your wait is over. The new Tea-Cakes ’Salon de Thé’ in Saint Cezaire now serves English teas, plus a wide range of other meals, snacks and speciality teas.
Tucked away in a side street (when you are standing at the fountain in the main square of St Cezaire, the tea house is in the lane between the flower shop and the newsagent), Tea-Cakes has an outside terrace and an indoor dining area. There’s a warm welcome and friendly service from the English and English-speaking staff too.
Getting to St Cezaire is a charming drive. From Fayence, Mons, Montauroux or Callian you drive down to the gorge of the Siagne river … then follow the (narrow) D105 up through olive groves till you arrive at St Cezaire. There’s plenty of parking in the town. Saturday is market day, and in summer there’s an evening market on Thursdays.
Blackwood Villas have a wide selection of Provence holiday villas near to Saint Cezaire.
